We can absolutely come to your location to conduct a class!
We ask the class minimum to be 10 students. Our NJ State Police Approved instructor will bring the class to your location on the date (or dates) agreed upon. Classes are completed in one 8 hour day or in two 3 1/2 hour evenings.
Please give us a couple of dates that work for you and your group, and we'll match your schedule with one of our certified instructors. We just need a 10 day lead time so we can report the class to the NJSP Marine Division.
Students will be responsible for bringing a self-addressed, stamped envelope (to receive their permanent NJ Boating Safety Certificate) along with a Pen, pencil, and a highlighter. They will also be responsible for bringing any food or drink to the class. At the end of the class, students will take a 60-question multiple-choice test. We'll grade it right there and when they pass with a score of 80 or better, they will leave with a temporary boating safety certificate, and receive their NJSP issued card in the mail a few weeks later. Children can take the class at 12 years old, and receive their certificate at age 13. There are two minimum ages, 13 years old for vessels powered by electric trolling motors, or vessels 12' or longer with less than 10 total HP. Operators of all other power vessels, including personal watercraft, must be at least sixteen years old, this includes out-of-state residents.
